Chirurgienne-dentiste graduée de l'Université de Montréal en 1984. De 1984 à 1986, elle a travaillé comme dentiste principalement à Matagami, et de 1974 à 1984 a été infirmière spécialisée en salle d'opération à l'hôpital Royal Victoria de Montréal et St-Sacrement de Québec.
